The Crookes

11 August 2011

As you probably know by now we're not only interested in drop-dead gorgeous models, but find ourselves looking in all directions for our inspiration. Following the beautiful shoot from Cecilie Harris with The Dandies, India shot recently with Sheffield-based band The Crookes.

They grabbed our attention after we saw them in the Burberry Serpentine Party video – looking effortlessly stylish in their burberry get-up and providing the soundtrack for the crowd of celebrities such as Ewan McGregor, Alexa Chung & The Hurts.

The band themselves are a four-piece collective that met in Sheffield and claim to have found a spiritual home there (India's cheering at this point!) and describe their music as “bound with storytelling and tinged with nostalgia” and we think they have impeccable style and grace – but also know how to have a laugh.

The first image is from India's first meeting with the boys – an impromptu 10 minute introduction and believe it or not they turned up looking this good!

Following this, India worked with styling from Natasha Lyons & grooming from Zoe Peplow. With thanks to the Sheffield Hilton.

The Crookes are touring the UK and you can find all the information on their website: www.thecrookes.co.uk.
