He eats peanut butter straight from the jar, and after telling us how his strict ballet teacher used to make them bow for 45 minutes till they got it right, American actor Kyle Allen goes into a 5-minute show-and-tell to demonstrate. It’s easy to let his infections, positive energy affect your own state of mine, and we spend the early part of his interview simply laughing.

After three seasons on ‘The Path, Kyle now joins the cast of 'American Horror Story’ in its eight season, and in our Autumn Winter 2018 issue, ‘The Dreamers’, you get to learn more about his multiple talents. Captured by Bec Lorrimer, at some point literally upside down in the air, you quickly understand his joy of movement. Stylist Julie Brooke Williams lets him roam freely in comfortable, high-end styles.

"Those who dream. I too dream. It’s profoundly two things: the generator of anything nurturable and also the downfall - because when you’re talking about dreams it’s apart from reality. There are a lot of people who begin to dream about things, and then they stay in that reality - that’s why it can be dangerous and destructive. And sometimes the dream is so much nicer than doing the things necessary to turn it into reality. I think that’s why you have a lot of unhappy people because they stay in dreamland and it builds up into this bubble that reality is built around, and when the bubble pops for a second, they’re like; “I don’t like this at all!”. But without dreams, I don’t think anything of note happens."

To spoil you a little further, we have included an exclusive film below, created by Sacred Pact, so that before you indulge in the printed pages, you too can get a feel of why we are so excited about this kid. Across ten pages in our new issue ‘The Dreamers’ we explore his addiction to movement, the story of his hair, the trouble with faith and why dreams are best left open-ended.
