Overcast clouds loom over Windsor, above monotonous rows of identical houses, but as a small figure in the distance becomes clearer, he is the only thing in your eye line. The stillness and emptiness of this setting animates him, and only when he breaks the silence to greet you do you realise you are actually not starring in a film-noir featuring a heartthrob for a co-star.

Born and Raised in Windsor, photographer and BBG Editor-in-Chief Cecilie Harris pays SUPA Model Management boy John Meadows a visit to capture him in some of his favourite places in his home town. Following the title of this feature for Issue 7, ‘Heartthrob’, Cecilie plays on the obsession so many people have in their youth; the posters plastered across your walls of movie stars, pop stars, anyone you look up to. John was evidently perfect for this role; his classically handsome look, cutting cheekbones, slight messy hair, a sort of sultry attitude. Leonardo Dicaprio/James Dean anyone?

Stylist Rose Forde combines that idea perfectly with the authentic capture of John with a slender suggestion of who he really is. She uses classic shapes and cuts to work alongside the classic Hollywood look of John bringing in designers such as Saint Laurent, All Saints, The Kooples and Dr Martens, all of which use clean-cut, time-honored designs.
